1) Non-responsive billing dept. 2) Long forms every session is not therapy. It would be nice to be treated like a human and not treated like a test subject. 3) Aimless sessions full of nodding. Had to poke and prod for materials, resources, homework and engagement. Got more done on myself for free by searching Reddit suggestions.
I knew I needed to find a therapist that understands what it is like to have left a high demand religion. That can be hard to find, especially in Utah. Working with Melanie Macatee has been an absolute game changer for me. She GETS it. She has been the wise and caring guide I have needed to help me navigate life after Mormonism. My only regret is not starting therapy sooner.

Stephanie is kind and professional and made me feel very comfortable. She is a great listener and asks insightful questions that helped me to really gain understanding of myself and my behavior. She also shares advice and has given me tools to help me manage the challenges I’m experiencing. I highly recommend Stephanie!
