I have been to Sylvia’s two to three times previously. I reached out today to see what the base price would be for the style pictured and this was the response I received. The phone is the phone number listed on Google Maps as well as their website. I’m not sure if it was supposed to be a joke, but it didn’t land well and unprofessional. Grateful for the previous experiences but will be taking my business elsewhere.
I’ve always had a great experience at Sylvia’s and have been a regular for the past two years. One of the things I loved most about this salon was its small size and attentive service. However, since the renovations, there are now too many workers, and two to three people often end up working on your hair at once. Today was by far the worst experience I’ve had there. Good Spot to get your hair done. The owner is the nicest person in the world. She is so kind and patient with me. the staff is nice and professional. Diane did my hair, and I love it. Girls help me give a shout out to Diane and Sylvia. I highly recommend. Sylvia's Hair Braiding is the place to be.
I went there today and was seated within 5 minutes. The ladies that did my hair were very friendly. They did an amazing job. I love my hair and will continue to go there. I don’t mind the drive from Frederick to Germantown. 10 out of 10. I will recommend this place to anyone.
My experience at Sylvia’s was okay, this was my first time going. I made an appointment for 5am, I arrived on time and went to open the door and the doors were locked. I waited about 5 minutes, then decided to call the number. The owner answered and said she will be there in less than 10 min, okay no problem.
