A wonderful restful stay in a spacious corner suite on 7th floor . Very convenient quiet location . Beautiful Stanley Park and Seawall Walk nearby as well as buses to downtown and Canada Place ( to get the Grouse Mountain free shuttle ) and ferries across to Granville Is . Very welcoming helpful staff spotless rooms and relaxed dining options overlooking the bay. Loved our first visit .

We had a great time at the Sylvia. I would love to rate it a 5 however a couple of things keep me from doing so. But first… the check in was great and the people at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel location is second to none and access to the beach area is phenomenal as it is literally across the street in the heart of English Bay. The restaurant is great serving excellent food. The hotel is very pet friendly and they really mean that as there was no issues with having a large dog occupying the hotel.... read more

I would say overpriced with out dated rooms, also we were charged 62.00 for parking yet not made aware that the festival of lights would be closing a 10 block radius around the hotel so the parking we paid for was useless they wouldn’t refund and we were left to either drive around until the streets re opened at midnight or pay for parking again somewhere else and then walk 10 blocks to the hotel.
