Dr. Sylvia Anagnos treats my brother for Parkinson's. Her exam consisted of how could he move his UE's /LE's and walk 5 feet. I told her that he had just come through a freezing episode 45 mins prior and still had stiffness in his R UE, especially his hand, she said it is not typical of Parkinson's, maybe he has some CP. Dystonia is definitely one of the symptoms of Parkinson's. He is 57, this muscle stiffness came on since the Parkinson's dx, pretty sure we would know if he had CP.
Was sent to her after failed back surgery and concerned about MS diagnosis with serious cognitive decline at 24. She does not listen, actually said "we will only focus on your neck up" meaning only my migraines. She did a brain mri and ran a positive ANA test on me. I had white matter hyperintensities which she blew off as the "radiologists not knowing what they're doing." I am not pursuing a 2nd opinion at Cleveland clinic bc she does not listen or care.
She is a doctor that asks questions and listens to all the information from a patient, before making a a diagnosis. She cares about you making progress with your medical condition. If a medication is not working with you, she offers alternatives that could help and gives explanations of how. She also gives other approaches that may have helped others in past. She seems to truly care about her patients getting better.
Dr. Anagnos is the best doctor I have ever been treated by. She truly cares about me. Being treated by her has been a life changing experience. I feel blessed to have her as my Dr.
