I worked there for a few months and learned it a terrible place to work for. The staff at the elementary school I was at lied to students, teachers and staff. They provide no training. The adults are bullies to students and adults. I've never once been treated as a second class citizen at a job but I was there. My sons have attend sylvan district for multiple years. This year we got a new superintendent that voiced that he would be available to us parents for questions or concerns. Yet all of our concerns have been ignored by the district and it is impossible to speak with Mr. Fridrickson.
This is the only school district that refuses to give children excused absence due to the virus. it's ridiculous that they are more concerned about funding then about the safety of our children
RecommendedI think Sylvan is amazing the only thing I recommend is fixing the lunches for the kids. My son has come home complaining he wasn’t able to eat certain foods because they ran out and the other grades got it first so he doesn’t eat. Maybe you guys can fix that problem! This is at Woodrow elementary school.
My son goes to Woodrow and he’s had nothing but wonderful teachers that genuinely care about their students.

There was a little boy hit by a car .A hit and run. At ustach middle school in Modesto but have not seen any news on it .

How dare you Sylvan Union School District! My little cousin has been physically and verbally bullied most of her 6th grade school year this year. You all just let this happen, everyday she comes home with a new story. To the point where we have to walk on to campus to get her from a school dance to keep from girls wanting to punch her.
