Our son is much more confident and enjoying school since starting at Sylvan! In 1st/2nd grade we realized he was having some reading issues likely due to some dyslexia but also being an active boy that frankly just may not love reading. He'd often come home from school tired and cranky - we didn't realize until later that it was because he was working so hard to "keep up". Our experience at Sylvan has been wonderful and well worth the investment! We enrolled our 3rd grader after realizing he was struggling with reading. We made many attempts to help him at home, but he was making little to no progress, which lead us to seeking help elsewhere. Our child started at Sylvan at a 2nd grade level. It’s now 3 months later, and he has already surpassed expectations and is considered to be ahead of his grade level!
