My 10-year-old started Sylvan (El Segundo) a few months ago and he loves going there. They have a low student-to-tutor ratio so I am happy that my son receives personalized attention. The program fits well with my son's active personality more than another tutoring program based on mastering repetitive worksheets ;).
My 8 year old has been going for tutoring and is loving it. The scheduling has been extremely easy! I had to reschedule 2 sessions and even the rescheduling is extremely fast and easy. The lessons have been helping my daughter in reading a lot already. It’s even boosted her confidence in reading our load which is what she needed. My daughter was getting a C in her tests and is now getting A’s and B+ in her test in reading. I would recommend to all 100%. Thank you Sylvan! Several months ago we started tutoring at Sylvan, and I only have positive feedback to give about our experience. Our daughter is already involved in a lot of activities yet we wanted to supplement her learning with additional tutoring without having additional learning assignments — Sylvan Learning fits the bill. 1. I highly recommend this Sylvan location! I enrolled both of my kids in the summer session, and Josh made the experience incredibly fun. My daughter practiced math over the summer, and now that she's back in school, she finds her math class a breeze.
