We were struggling with helping my 4th grader with reading comprehension. My child has been attending Sylvan for a few months. The progress and achievements have been great! My child really enjoys going because of the staff and clients. Including Sylvan in her education regimen has given her confidence to do the uncomfortable hard to do educational task that she once avoided because of fear of failure. I am very disappointed in sylvan. I have used them twice for two different children. I paid for 100 hours and my daughter was going 4 days a week. According to Sylvan she has (4) excused absences and she has lost those 4 hours, because apparently she was suppose to make them up within the month. I was communicating with Sylvan and I stated we could make up on Friday, I was told the facility it’s closed on that day. My daughter has been going to Sylvan for at least two years. She has excelled in her work there and at school. The teachers have helped her confidence tremendously.
