My daughter has struggled with math for a few years now. Last year we hired a tutor to come to our home 2 times a week to try and help her, she was great but it was just enough help to get her through her homework. Even with this help our daughter was still struggling and frustrated every night with math homework. We started taking her to Sylvan. My 8-year old grandson Keandre had severe problems with reading at school. He had gotten to the point of being combative about reading at all, so we couldn't help. The Sylvan teachers and reward system enabled Keandre to fill in the blocks missing in his knowledge base. The teacher at school says that he is a different student now and is interested in participating in the lessons with the rest of his class.
