this business was a huge scam, to all of those who spent alot of time and money getting your diploma here im sorry, i couldnt get a job for almost ten years and couldnt figure out why untill i did my research and saw my education background was a fraud and a lie. and she is dead now so no one can get anytning back

To those who think this was a scam. You shouldn't of screwed up in school. This woman helped me through a troubled time. She was very good to me. Don't blame her for your idiocy.

I too went here 9 years ago. Got a diploma and everything, I find out today that the school is no longer around and it was not accredited. I'm furious with this. After 9 long years of thinking I had a diploma.. All a scam!!!!!!!!! There should be something we can do. I spent too much money.

The owner Dr. Sykes died of cancer May 2013. The school closed upon her death. She lived and breathed that school. She NEVER claimed to be accredited with the Texas Board of Education. The school counselors she worked with from Crowley, FW, Aledo and many other ISDs sent students to her that could not finish their high school diploma in their schools for whatever reason. I'm confused. Was this a scam? I received a diploma here in 2010 because my mother didn't want me to get a GED. Now I'm getting a feeling the whole thing is a con. There is no way to contact over phone and if you google it nothing connected to Sykes academy really comes up.

I "graduated" from Sykes Academy in 2000. I'm now trying to continue my education and every college I've contacted has said that Sykes is not on the list of accredited schools. I've had little luck with the State of Texas Education Department. If anyone else has recieved a fraudulent diploma from this school please post on here.
