Terrible. No compassion for PWD (person with dementia), nor for caregiver, nor for what it takes to go for an appointment to review test results (ever heard of telehealth? We could have done this at home.) Then he berated the caregiver for refusing to let medical students in the exam room (right of refusal is a given.) Finally, when inaccurate information was entered into the medical record, he did not fix it. It was an obvious error, but would have implications down the road if it wasn't fixed. I wanted to make a formal apology to Dr Shaw. I reacted in a bad manner towards all drs after going through major problems with treatment and care from other medical facilities. And I took those experiences and I took it out on the entire medical community that I am involved with as a patient.I appreciate the forward nature Dr Shaw went about some things with me after that.
