The quality of care was disappointing. The interaction with my child was poor. The appropriate equipment and techniques were not used during the assessment and treatment process. The wound was not thoroughly cleaned, and suitable tools were not used when attempting to remove material from the wound. Given the $420 emergency department fee, I expected a significantly higher standard of care, attention, and treatment. Unfortunately, the quality of service we received did not justify the cost and was well below our expectations... read more

Slow to be seen and dismissive of the patients care. Came here for speed and attention re the issue, otherwise would have gone to Hornsby or RNS. Cannot see the value of the out of pocket fee.

The intake process at this Emergency Department needs serious review. We were treated rudely by the triage nurse, who dismissed our son's symptoms and told us it wasn't appendicitis (he had emergency surgery for it hours later). What makes it worse is that the hospital has completely ignored my formal emails regarding the incident. Professionalism should start at the front door and include following up when patients have serious safety concerns.
