I regret purchasing my home from Ashton Woods. My experience has been extremely disappointing due to a lack of professionalism and failure to honor commitments that were made before closing. I lived at Pender Woods for 10 months. I moved out before my lease ended, but I paid everything owed according to my contract. My lease was supposed to end in January 2026, but I moved out at the beginning of December 2025. Before leaving, I cleaned the home thoroughly, took pictures to document the condition, and returned the keys. I would not recommend moving into this neighborhood. The HOA, managed by Charleston Management, has been consistently unhelpful — and their public reviews reflect the same issues I’ve experienced. They do not enforce their own bylaws, which has led to ongoing problems throughout the community. Dog waste is frequently left on the trails, kids play in the road nonstop, and although the neighborhood is somewhat safe, it’s common to see people walking around late at night without shoes, which adds to an overall feeling of disor... read more

I do not even know where to start, I have no light in the pantry and I just found out all my neighbors do have one; we have cracks on the ceilings that go all the way down to door jams, our AC unit was not installed correctly with wall insulation so it is EXTREMELY loud, our front yard was not landscaped correctly (plastic laid before rock placement) so we get weeds like crazy, and fined by HOA for them, the foundation has not settled evenly and there is a big dip in the ground between our house and the neighbors, the list g... read more

Terrible customer service! They tell you one amount that you will need to bring to close then once they get your money they give you a different amount that is over $2,000.00 more to bring to close. When you bring it to their attention they offer to change the interest rate to a higher amount that will only cost you an additional $8,000.00 over the 30 year loan. When you say "No Thank You!" Then they offer to change the cost the of house and then you will only have to pay an additional $4,000.00 over the 30 year loan. Again ... read more
