My parents and I stopped by last week after catching a morning IMAX 70MM showing of The Odyssey at the nearby Cinemark. S.Y Chef is pretty much your typical strip mall Chinese food joint (which is not an inherently negative thing, to be clear). Tasty food with a better atmosphere and service than you might expect. However, I'm not sure why people are glazing this place so hard to the extent that multiple reviews go out of their way to call the food "authentic" Chinese cuisine. Come on. What are we doing here? I had the sour pork & cabbage dumplings and the cold garlic noodles...Crab rangoon & egg rolls ..the dumplings & the noodles were very good ..everything was fresh & tastee ..the crab rangoon had very little crab in it but it was only $1 ... OQ
