It was very much a “you get what you pay for” motel… except we paid $180, so expectations weren’t exactly low. The bathroom had mold on the walls, the room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, and the fire alarm started going off. Staff had us take it down and gave no replacement, we spent the night sleeping in a room with no fire alarm. The indoor pool was what drew us there in the first place since we have kids, but overall the whole experience was uncomfortable enough that we definitely wouldn’t stay there again.
Rented the banquet room pool was supposed to be included..they called 24 hrs prior to say it was closed.
Rooms are always clean and comfortable, and staff are always great.
Had car troubles and had to stay in Bancroft for the night. My partner (a person of colour) and I were asking about a room and we got very bad vibes from the lady at the desk. We decided not to give our money to bigots. Would not reccomend this place to anyone looking for a safe place to lay their head at night.
