Swing Thai breaks the mold of usual dine-in/take-out Asian restaurants. Located in a converted car repair shop, the brick interior and dark wooden tables exude the atmosphere of a Cambridge coffee shop. All orders are taken at the counter, creating a fast-food atmosphere in a non-fast-food setting. Entrees include Thai mainstays like stir-fried vegetables in assorted curry sauces, drunken noodles, and Panang. The kitchen attempts to accommodate most vegetarian requests.

swing by swing thai There are tables and chairs inside, but really, this is takeout Thai. And it's pretty good, all things considered. They'll customize your dish any way you like, which is nice for those of us that love Pad Thai but don't want (or can't eat) the shrimp that usually comes on top. Vegan/gluten-free/etc., all have options here.
Swing Thai is overwhelmingly okay Maybe I??m just a Thai snob now, but I wasn??t completely fulfilled with my experience. I suppose I expected an experience when I walked in, and I left with just a to-go meal. Not just a meal, a meal that inexplicably did not include the Mango Sticky Rice that I so direly desired, paid for, and discovered missing when I got home.
Easy-to-read menu and lots of alternative menu items The food was good, but the treat of the trip was how easy it was to order. All menu items were very clearly labeled for alternative eating styles - gluten-free, vegetarian, etc. Restaurants could take a lesson on menu usability from Swing Thai.
Not that great The food wasn't that great and it was very pricey! I ordered the green curry with tofu and I couldn't even finish mine it was so bad. The friend I was with ordered the kid's noodle plate, and he was served plain rice noodles with a side of chicken satay. He loved the satay, but didn't touch the rest. It was a waste of $25 (yes - for one adult plate and one kids plate!) Make the trek to Khow Thai on Broadway in Boulder! It's much, much better (and less expensive).
