Awful experience for our 4 year old. In only a class of 2 kids, she reached for a toy given to her by the instructor and fell off the step. She couldn’t touch the bottom and was under water. The instructor had NO clue she was under as she was digging in a basket for something, not watching. The lifeguard didn’t move either. As my wife and I yelled, “she’s under!” I jumped up from my seat and pulled her out.
