The scheduling system, the voice-mail system, the pharmacy refill system is the worst I have experienced in my 45 years in Reno. I'm 70+ and don't drive and have had to cancel due to lack of transport. They were put in the system as no shows even though I called scheduling and left voice-mails. We are ALLOWED to cancel and reschedule with advance notice! I was recently told that if I miss my next appointment, I will no longer be able to be seen. This business is a joke. Hugh T. McDermott, DM was dismissive and overall unprofessional. Avoid the Swift institute at all cost. I would rate this place lower than one star if possible.
This place is inept. I have come multiple times. The right hand doesn’t know what the left is doing. From scheduling to the front office staff to the doctors. I even had one of their doctors ask me if he could say he did a procedure when he didn’t actually do it so he could get paid for it. This time they called me and scheduled my appointment for today at 8:15am. It was their only available that wasn’t weeks out so I took it. I had a referral and they don't answer the phone for appointments. After waiting 3 days for a call back I asked for a referral for another provider. The other provider actually had someone that answered the phone and scheduled the appointment. This should be a red flag for anyone considering Swift. Would not want to wait 3 days if I had a need to consult with my doctor.
