Disappointing that a money grab was made at the cost of the local community. Our farmers will suffer as well as our children and elderly now that there will not be a local spot for the market. This is directly the result of the greed shown by Swenson.
I've heard and had friends experience horrific things from Swenson Builders. Aptos village is SUFFERING because Swenson won't budge on lease $ so he can just write them off instead of supporting small business and have our community thrive. Also, not collaborating with the best farmers market in town is beyond heartbreaking. Clearly Swenson is all about $$$ and a bottom line not true community. Please don't support this builder!
Developers that will destroy cooperative and healthy communities out of pure greed. Losing the farmers' market will also hurt their current tenants. What a racket.
Can I give less than one star? This builder has bullied local small businesses for the better part of the last decade, but they've finally hit the bottom of the barrel by pushing the local Farmers Market out. I mean, how low can you be? It's a villain move pulled straight from a bad Hallmark movie, and they still have the absolute gall to make statements saying "wE're SoOOOoo sAd tO sEe tHE mARkeT leAvE!" I hope with every fiber of my being that the market finds a new place to thrive and that this company dissolves into bank... read more
