The food is about what you'd expect at a hotel, but the service is terrible. We were treated rudely and have not returned.

Okay Hotel – We stayed here for one night, but we were not pleased with the hotel. We had originally asked for a king bed, but when we arrived, our room wasn't ready and we were asked to wait 45 minutes for that room. We were offered a room with two queen beds that was ready, and we only took it because we were so tired from traveling. When we got to our room, we couldn't get to the door because maid service had their cleaning cart blocking our room door. Riverside Sweetwater’s is the restaurant located inside the Valley River Inn. The atmosphere is excellent featuring a close view of the Willamette River. The patio dining is especially pleasant. The service is good. The food is high quality. There is an excellent Sunday brunch with live entertainment. Expect high prices when you dine here. I recommend this place.

Could it get any worse?? – The service at this restaurant is appalling. I have never been so completely ignored in a restaurant in my life. I sat for 10 minutes after I finished my meal, and still no one had asked me if I bneeded anything else, much less bothered to fill my water glass. In addition to the BAD service, the food leaves much to be desired. I had the crab chowder, jwhich had no crab in it.
