We live out of state and were visiting Florida to do some kayaking. We booked lessons for some experience on coastal water kayaking and our instructor was Tim. The lessons were great, we learned tons of information and simple techniques that of course we'll have to keep practicing, but gave us a solid base of skills we used to kayak on several rivers and coastal waters over the next week in Florida! Will definitely be renting again. Made reservations online. The two gentlemen (forgot their names) were very friendly and patient with us as they explained the suggested route on the provided map. Definitely check the tides before making a reservation or give them a call and have them check. Parts of the route is through some mangroves that you can only go through during high tide.
This place is awesome. We came too late in the day when the tide was low but I’m looking forward to coming again in the morning with friends! Tim was very helpful with getting us set up despite us coming so late in the afternoon. Can’t wait for manatee season!
