Ordered an oxtail plate and was disappointed for the price. The rice was the biggest letdown. It had clearly been sitting in the heating container too long making some parts hard/overcooked but overall dry. Wasn't worth the cost for me.
I have been coming to sweet fingers for years every since they were in san leandro but now since the new location in oakland there recipe has been changed there oxtails are horrible there is no Jamaican flavors at all it's not the traditional authentic Jamaican thick dark brown gravy instead it's watery no Jamaican flavor there fried chicken is not the same anymore it lacks Jamaican flavors as well I don't know if there is a new cook or what if so they need to be terminated ASAP I will not be spending another red cent in the... read more
Almost was gonna give em a 2 star cause I waited 25 mins for my food but then I started eating it and it hit the spot so I change my mind
Ordered online and the food was good but some items were under or overcooked. Platanos were flavorful but slightly over ripe, rice and beans was overcooked and a little bland. The coconut splash veggies and jerk tofu were very delicious and well cooked. Also had a veggie pattie which was also very tasty but could have used more filling
