The best Cardamom buns in Chicago. I keep coming back to this place every week. Absolute best quality of buns and cookies.
We stopped by here for the cardamom buns. We got here right at opening and got warm and soft cardamom buns. Ambience and furniture is very cozy!
Beautiful cafe. The Scandinavian baked goods are the best - not too sweet, with subtle unique flavors. I love this little place but unfortunately the young man who is often working there is one of the worst-tempered people I have run across in this friendly neighborhood. No need to put on a fake smile or anything, but there is a point where one person’s bad mood affects everyone around them. I always brace myself before going inside … but I must admit it’s worth it, a testament to how lovely the cafe is!!!
The best cafe for fika in all of Chicago! It's authentic, spacious, affordable, and delicious. That's a combination only Jordan and Pippen could contend with. Not to mention, Mormor's Cafe is all around better than their competitor down the street, who are 3x more expensive for a less authentic Swedish experience.
Delicious pastries and a wide variety of teas makes this a good spot to sit for an hour or two
