Yesterday, I went into Swede Things to look for things to buy for my mother. We typically take this trip together as it is her favorite store. I witnessed an employee being told by another customer in the store that she should be wearing her mask over her nose. The employee did not seem to care what the customer had to say and still refused to wear the mask correctly. Lovely store with lots of lace and doilies, curtains, etc. that you can't find elsewhere.
Love this store and am able to get a lot of things for Finnish friends living in the US. But a bit bummed that I drove 1.5hrs to pick up gifts there today and found the store closed at least 30 mins early :(
Witnessed a verbal exchange between the manager and a customer. Manager was very inappropriate and the three workers stood behind the register and mocked the altercation afterwards. Since you have things you don’t want anyone to touch why doesn’t one of you stay out on the floor to assist the customers instead of yelling across the store? Customer service is second to none, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff, gorgeous products. This is my favorite store in Cape May, NJ.
