This place is kind of awesome. I am allergic to seafood and coconut and there is alot on the menu I can't eat but plenty of choices of things I could. I am kind of a picky eater and disliked one of the veggies in my fried rice and was planning on picking it out but omg its so frickin good haha. They have friendly staff and a great atmosphere and so many fancy drinks. It is a little pricey but would say its pretty worth it.
Went there this evening for dinner with my wife. Although there wasn't many customers, after being served, no server had returned to see if the meal was okay or if we wanted a second drink. The table we were seated at looked to be in need of re-sanding and staining. The exterior of building had weeds along the side as large as shrubs and even weeds growing near curb of front door that have to be noticed by everyone who works at this location. Always a treat to pop into Swaylo’s. The drinks are fruity, flavorful and adventurous. The food menu is well equipped and nicely executed with a ton of variety. They do a really nice job with the tiki theme and it’s very roomy and inviting. All of the folks complaining about the dim lighting and excessive amount of ice in cocktails should realize that both of these things are the expectation for a tiki bar and if you don’t enjoy that kinda thing then not only are you in the wrong place, but you most certainly shouldn’t criti... read more
Honestly just let down by this place. We have been twice but I highly prefer The Roost or Jefe's over this place. The cocktail my husband got had a ridiculous amount of ice. Sad for $15. The food was fine but the portions seemed a bit small for the price. The decor is really cute but I hate how dark they keep the place. My husband had to turn on his phone flashlight to read the menu. The service was totally fine though. I'll go to one of the other restaurants next time.
