I recently had an eye exam at SVS Vision and was very disappointed with the experience. After completing the exam, I requested a copy of my eyeglass prescription — something I am legally entitled to under the FTC’s Eyeglass Rule. Shockingly, they refused to provide it. Withholding a prescription after an exam is not only inconvenient, it's unethical and against federal regulations. I get a call at minimum once a month from this place. It’s been like 3 years since I’ve booked an appointment at this place due to their lack of accessibility for people who work during office hours. I’m not taking an entire day off work just to get my eyes checked (I’m required to get dilation so I also can’t drive myself and thus am not asking my fiancé to take an entire day off work just to DRIVE me to my eye appointment and bring me back home). You make an appointment for 1130. They call you the day before to let you know if you can’t make it. They need to know so they can reschedule your appointment. You show up for your appointment and they tell you it’s at least another half hour to 45 minutes before you’re even seen. As you sit there and wait nobody even pays attention to you do not schedule anything at this office if you value Your time. Staff is completely rude.
