My last primary care Dr announced she was not going to see patients any longer, was going to train new doctors. I looked around and read up on available Drs, and selected Dr Polischuk. I wanted a woman Dr, because I had 'macho' issues with some male Drs - one asked why I asked so many questions - BECAUSE IT IS MY HEALTH!!!. Anyway, just had my first Appt., and Dr Polischuk is wonderful. She reviewed my medical history, my medications, and lab results. 8/2024 I discovered my primary Dr. was no longer in practice without warning. I was desperate as I needed a refill for my medication. No doctors were taking new patients & I’d have to wait months. I asked the desperate question to the helpful young lady at another office, “What does one do if their doctor abruptly shuts down their practice, no one is taking new patients, and refills are needed?” She found Dr. Polishchuk that had availability the following week due to internal changes.
