Dr. Jiloca performed my hysterectomy in spite of her leaving the Med Star practice. I was nervous. She was caring, comforting, and precise in the surgery. She rubbed my arm in comfort until I was asleep as I had tears streaming down my face. That is bedside manner that stands above the minimum. You can tell she learned a lot from her partner, Dr. James Thompson. I wish her well in Salisbury and if you are in the area I highly recommend Dr.Jiloca.
I was recommended to Dr. Jiloca by my previous GYN who I loved but was no longer offering services. Dr. Jiloca, who I met at MedStar Health, seemed generally kind at first but always quick in appointments. To say I've had a bad experience since then is an understatement. I needed to go in for an emergent appointment where I was told by Dr. Jiloca that the symptoms I had would have been much worse if I actually had an issue, then did an exam and confirmed my fears after spending less than a minute examining me. Not sure what the bad reviews are for, but I’ve only had a great experience with Dr.Jiloca. They made me feel comfortable and each procedure I’ve had to get done was correct and handled quickly. *EDIT* I was forced to change after they couldn't schedule my problem visit until after January (I tried to schedule it in September). I ended up having to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance from the airport, when this all could have been sorted out in a matter of days. Does not return phone calls. Did not speak with me or my spouse after she did a procedure on me to tell us what the outcome of the procedure was. Not to mention the procedure did nothing for my issue. Cost me over 1k in medical bills out of pocket and still has not fixed my problem or returned my phone calls. Does not appear to care for her patients.
