I had the opportunity to see Dr. Paul Lin for his expert opinion and care, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. I had heard wonderful things—not only about his skill as an orthopedic surgeon, but also about his compassion toward patients—and I found both to be absolutely true.What compelled me to write this review was the surprise I felt after reading some of the negative reviews online. Listened to my concerns, checked up on my progress, compassionate, respectful.
Knowledgeable. Comprehensive in his assessment. Thorough. Doesn't bring a warm bedside manner but I don't expect that from a specialist.
Initial visit I was given high hopes that my ear drum with a hole would be repaired with a myringplasty surgery. To my dismay, it did not. I had called the office on at least 3 separate occasions in pain. The last call they finally decided to see me. I explained that I had to keep a cotton roll in my ear while working due to fluid leaking out and that I was in extreme pain with zero sick days left. Been with Dr. Douglas for a long number of years now. Always very thorough and he is not just a pill pusher. Several of my family members also see him as well. He cares beyond the appointment.
It was my first appointment with him. I was describing an epidural steroid injection guided by xray, previously done elsewhere and all said they did not know what that is. I am a little nervous.
In my years of experience with physicians, this was the first time I actually didn’t feel safe during an appointment. Dr Egar was aggressive & adversarial during my office visit when I began to question his conclusions. My husband was with me and also witnessed Dr Egar’s unprofessionalism. When I asked about a cervical MRI ordered by my PCP (& not by him), he became visibly angry and said I “blind-sighted” him with new symptoms (even though we discussed these at a previous appointment). Dr. Furia did three surgeries one me. Excellent bedside manner, and clearly cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone
