Our family's experience with Dr. Cole was extremely disappointing. My nephew was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer and trusted her with his care. Sadly , he passed away on October 13. Unfortunately, throughout his treatment, we felt there was a lack of compassion and personal attention. I am deeply disappointed with the care my brother, Paulo, received from Dr. Suzanne Cole. From my experience observing his treatment, I felt that he was overmedicated with chemotherapy even when it appeared to no longer be effective. Rather than exploring other options or referring him to a clinical trial or a different oncology group sooner, he continued to receive treatments that only seemed to weaken him further. Dr. Suzanne Cole is an exceptional oncologist. Dr. Cole and her team at UTSW are not only highly knowledgeable, but also compassionate, attentive, always taking the time to explain treatment options clearly. I am deeply grateful.
Dr Cole and her entire team are amazing. They work hard to give every patient excellent and compassionate care. Now I see why she is so highly recommended!
