We engaged Suzan Quigg to develop a complete landscape design for a new house build in Agnes Water central Queensland. Being a steep ocean front site in an eco estate the project was particularly demanding. Some of the restrictions included only plants endemic to the estate were permitted, no trees were permitted to be removed, fencing was not permitted, retaining walls had to be below 1 metre, driveway and pathways had to be minimal, sprinkling was not permitted and disturbance of the ground was discouraged. As an experienced gardener, I had never thought of contacting a landscape designer. However I was completely daunted by a difficult site that sloped down from the street so contacted Suzan regarding my cottage restoration in Yungaburra. I am so glad that I did. Suzan was so friendly and helpful and quickly designed a plan that not only met my garden needs but also solved the water issues and enhanced the entry to the house.
