Horrible experience. Wouldn't listen, already made up his mind what was wrong. Would only discuss what he wanted to say, did not allow us to ask questions. Would not discuss a new medication out & when we transferred care to another neurologist, he immediately started my husband on the new med with marked improvement in 3 days. So upsetting at how we were treated.

The Neuropsychiatric team was outstanding. Dr. Sutton and his staff are horrible. Misdiagnosis, no diagnosis and he is no longer able to provide a diagnosis and treatment plan. His staff mishandled everything they were given and provided. I understand now why the doctor has no waiting list.

My husband Victor and I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Sutton, and we especially appreciated Yessi for all of her patience, expertise, care and attention, sense of humor, and professionalism. Dr. Sutton is very fortunate to have Yessi on his staff, and we will miss her!

Dr.Sutton was an awful experience for my 88 year old mother and also esp for us her adult children. He misdiagnosed her mild cognitive disorder for Alzheimer’s and cold method I’d delivering the diagnosis traumatized us all. His staff were uniformly horrid to deal with , were uncooperative and down right mean and rude in several occasions. She was correctly diagnosed s year later and while she continues to lose short term Memory function three years later but at a very slow rate, lives at home and has only some in home care ... read more

On review this was one of our worst care experiences for my Mim who has mild dementia. His practice is a “mill” is not patient or family centric and his poorly trained staff behave like “ thugs”. We booked with him because he was the only neurologist without await list. Wish we had just waited for another. Oh and his overcertain diagnosis actually turned out to be wrong. This physician does not care. Is near retirement. Keep looking.

Wonderful staff and doctor. He is so knowledgeable and truly is there to help. The staff are always so helpful, even when their scheduled is jam packed if the patient needs to be seen, they will find a way to do so. I highly recommend this office to others.

I am a recently retired nurse, of 35 years, in Ventura/Oxnard. I met Dr. Sutton and his exceptional staff 9 months ago when I accompanied a patient/friend to him to redirect his care for Parkinson's Disease; diagnosed 9 years ago. As a nurse, I felt more agressive care was indicated. He was VERY thorough. direct, soft spoken, exceptionally knowledgeable, approachable with a wonderful bedside manner. He keeps direct contact with the patient family.HIS STAFF IS AMAZING! I cannot compliment enough

Really unpleasant to deal with his office staff. This physician also does not follow through well and offers reduced options for care and treatment of an Alzheimer's parent. Would definitely look elsewhere.

Doctor Sutton is one of a very few doctors who understands how to treat dystonia. He is very good with helping detect where the tremors are coming from through the emg machine. He also is quick with injections and accurate which every dystonia patient can appreciate! He has me come back in for follow ups to make sure he is getting the hot spots of this disease. I'm very thankful for a wise doctor. I've been through 9 different neurologists since being diagnosed in 2002. He is the best!
