I have tried and failed multiple times to make appointments or just walk in for service. Unless you're a local or married to a good ole boy good luck.
Have been doing business with Vansant Tire for now going on 30 years. Mike is a great mechanic and this guy knows tires . He is very reasonable on price. Great guy to do business with .
They always seem to work me in and always try to take the best of care of my truck. I understand sometimes he does have a high mechanic turnover rate depending on the coal mining employment status in the area, but the boss always tries to do right by everyone.
I went in to have MY good tire put on my rim that had a fat. Got there at 4 in the evening. At 430 the older man tells us it's going to be at least another hour. So me an my nephew to McDonald's got back at 5:08 And they were CLOSED. I'm not from Virgina my mom lives there. I HAD A 3 HOUR TRIP AHEAD OF ME AND BE AT WORK. WELL THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN. SO I LOST MY JOB ALL BECAUSE THIS MAN DIDN'T LOOK AT THE TIME B4 HERE HAVE US TIME HE'D BE DONE
En route to the Vansant area for a 4 day visit, we were towing a car behind our motorhome when a tire suddenly self-destructed. We could not conveniently extend our time there and did not want to spend much time away from the volunteer project we were on. Spoke with Mike at Vansant Tire, and he said they would be able to get a set of 6 tires for our motorhome in time for us to move on to another obligation after that project.
