Went to see Dr Sutera for lower back pain Ive had for the last 4 years. My primary care physician ,back specialists are all up in NY.I needed someone in FL since I now spend 7 months in Sarasota. When I first went to Dr Sutera's office his staff entered all my records correctly and everything is up to date. He's absolutely great in office. However, if you need a prescription refill, expect to be ignored for over a week. I have a prescription for a controlled substance. I can't request a refill outside of 48 hours of it's "refill date". I have to call doctor Sutera's office daily, merely to beg for him to grant me a prescription refill. That's not only unnecessarily lackadaisical, it's a threat to my health. Again, great bedside manner but incredibly irresponsible with my precarious health. Doctor is actually great, staff is useless. They NEVER answer the phones. Complained about it and was promptly discharged and told it was not true.
Dr. Sutera has been my primary doctor for about 15 years. He has always been there for me. He is patient, kind and he really listens. I would highly recommend Dr. Sutera to anyone looking for a Doctor!
