SusieCakes is a hands-down favorite for my kids! They offer a fantastic variety of cupcakes, all freshly baked and served daily. The cake bases are consistently soft, moist, and delicious, paired with frostings that are rich, creamy, and truly melt-in-your-mouth. We can’t resist stopping by almost every time we’re on Laurel Street in San Carlos—whether we’re grabbing a full-sized cupcake for a real indulgence or a mini for a quick, sweet treat!
I’ve gone to this location a few times for some treats and always had a good experience, but my last visit was outstanding. The girls working redid flourless cupcakes for me and a special holiday. They went above and beyond to make a gift special. Thanks for being so wonderful!
How can you hate Susie cakes. Their celebration cake is so delicious. One slice is enough for 3-4 people honestly. They have many other yummy flavors to try as well. Plenty of cookies and cupcakes are also available.
They do desert well! But, you'll never make it where you are headed in time if you're going to this store. Literally - without a numbering system they pay no heed to the order in which people walk in. They'll also devote multple staff to assisting one person. I walked in, wasn't greeted, waited, and then left when the two people behind the counter turned their attention collectively to someone who arrived after me.
Came in for a couple of gift boxes and Angela was wonderful. Very helpful, quick to service, and as sweet as the cupcakes, which were all thoroughly enjoyed. Unrelated: bring back the peanut butter jelly cupcake!
