I can't say enough good things about the San Carlos location of this place! The staff is always so friendly and happy to help. I usually ask them to cut my cupcake in half so my kids don't get too much sugar, and they do it happily. (That's not the experience I've had in Menlo Park.) I ordered a gender reveal cake the decoration was very nice but the cake it’s self tasted very bad very sugary and dry we couldn’t eat a bite of it and the price was veeery high compared with the quality I was very disappointed and will never order from this place again :(
You can’t go wrong with SusieCakes! Love their Carrot cake and it’s my first time at this location. The serving is always huge! Of course, the slice of cake is meant to be shared or eaten in multiple sittings throughout the day. From my experience, the cake keeps well even if you don’t eat it til next day or two. This is the place I can trust for cakes and they are still my #1 when it comes down to the carrot cake. You can tell how good it is by just the weight when you hold the whole cake. It is just the delicious, unrestrained amount of carrot, raisins, and all the goodies in there. I start to have soft spots for their birthday cakes as well. The chocolate cake is also amazing. I would prefer cake slices (or the whole cake!) over cupcakes so you can have the mouth-filled experience, especially carrot cake. Enjoy!
