Hadn't been in here for a couple of years and was pleasantly surprised. I always liked them for their cheap lunch boxs before, but previously was underwhelmed with their dinner. We stopped in for dinner with our daughter. She was excited about the sushi and the seaweed salad, but most importantly really enjoyed the fish tank. Very fresh fish and great prices! The staff is friendly and professional, and the food is consistently good.
From Hongo and previous name until after moving to the new location with the centers remodeling, to multiple iterations of management, the restaurant has been ok. Except for the strange period of pastel colored nori for sushi, that is. Overall, the sashimi has been good over the years. Kinda miss the teppan. The servers and chefs remain great, kinda miss how they used to greet loudly and say goodbye.
