Hayakawa lives up to their multi year winning Michelin star. The staff is friendly, attentive, detail focused, and yet not intrusive. The omakase meal is performed at an intimate chef's table. The chef is interactive with friendly amusing banter. The courses come out at a steady appropriate pace. All courses are well prepared with a mix of ingredients that enhance each other creating that perfect umami taste sensation we all desire.
Overpriced for what you get. The food and overall experience don’t justify the high prices at all. Also, they kept asking female customers if they wanted half portions (nigiri and rice) to avoid leftovers—while still charging full price. That makes no sense.
Chef Haya San has created the most joyful, delicious, authentic, wonderful experience. I can’t say enough about it. Monet, his partner, somm, and best friend has a brilliant mind and will put together pairings that are unexpected and will change your life. They care about your experience and happiness, and their joy to have you as part of the family for a night is real and infectious. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Wow. That was incredible! My partner took me to dinner for my birthday and it was SUCH a treat. Best service, incredible wine/sake recommendations, and the best seafood I’ve ever had. The charming, talented chef, Haya Son takes immense pride in the quality of ingredients and sources most of it from various regions in Japan (including the region he is from!).
