I had some of the most delicious pieces of nigiri ever here at the hands of chef Maumi. Every single seafood tasted fresh and well-prepped as traditional Edo-mae style goes. The detail to attention was so exciting to see right at the counter. The interior is sleek and intimate as most omakase restaurants, but the chef here is quite minimal in interacting with guests. One of the best places ive eaten all year 💯
The food was alright, but the overall experience was really disappointing. The chef didn’t even bother to accommodate my request not to eat eel and basically forced me to take it even after I tried to explain that I don’t eat eel. I ended up not finishing that piece. Later, when he asked if I wanted to add anything, I asked for an additional piece of sanma, but he wouldn’t allow me to order it. Overall, the hospitality and experience were really poor. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
