Heads up, be ready to leave any ambition of greatness at the door, it’s an art! Meaning it takes experience and dedication to become great. Great experience for teens to adults. Susan Covers all the basics of stain glass, within a Lovely home studio. Susan gave clear instructions while also being polite, patient, and informative. Fyi- It’s best to keep things simple for first timers.
Susan is amazing! My husband bought me a beginner 4 week class for my birthday. Her flexibility in scheduling was perfect for this busy mom! The studio is small, but has exactly what is needed to learn this beautiful craft. She has more than 30 years of experience, which is apparent as she explains everything in detail, step by step. My daughter and I traveled an hour to Gastonia in order to take a beginner stained glass class. Susan walked us through the process from beginning to end with endless patience. My daughter seemed to catch on a little bit quicker than I did but that was no problem for Susan. Her cozy little study was relaxing and we had a great time. I highly recommend taking a class or having a piece made.
Spectacular Service and Exceptional Skills!!! I have a detailed piece of stained glass that my mother made by hand over 40 years ago. She cut and ground each piece and the project took months to complete. My father was so proud put the piece in an outside facing wall and there it remained for many years until recently. Mom and Dad are now gone, the house recently sold, and I had the piece removed. During the move a number of internal pieces were broken.
