Horrible place. You just go there to do nothing to do with your recovery. My friend has been in there a year, since last Thanksgiving. He's had no physical therapy, no education about amputees limbs, no nothing. He's seen two different doctors once each, in a full year. His stump has gotten infected so they haven't fitted him with a prosthetic as well as not made any attempt to cure the infection. Wound care came in and made it worse. He's had roommates that have dementia or alzheimers, and ones with drug and alcohol issues.... read more

Husband has been here 5 days and we're already disappointed. Has received NO PT or OT, not allowed out of bed without staff to help, yet no help seems to be available. Has to endure the 24/7 loud obnoxious sound of roommate's oxygen machine.

Summerplace is the perfect place for seniors to spend their golden years. The environment is beautiful, well maintained and extremely safe. The staff are well trained and Darian the Community Director sets a wonderful example for both staff and residents. He is gracious and treats all with respect and dignity. My mother frequently comments on how she knows she is in the right place for her. I highly recommend Summerplace to anyone who is looking for a next step for themselves or that special loved one.

The facility is beautiful and the helpers are kind and caring. But the twice weekly exercise for 30 minutes only happens 50% of the days. No warning or alternatives are offered for cancelled activities. The activity director is the only one that can drive the van, so if any of the 64 residents needs driven to a Dr. appt or other location, activities are cancelled. Or if the activity director is not in, there are no back-ups - activities are cancelled. No assistance is provided for dementia. Management is not welcoming for ... read more
