Please please please if you have depression or anxiety see ANYONE else!!! I honestly can’t believe this women is in this line of work. She is straight up accusatory, rude and harsh.
I saw this woman once as a teen in 2001, and it turned me off of the entire concept of therapy for 15 YEARS. I now see someone competent and wish I hadn’t had this awful experience. Within minutes of meeting her, she told me that my previous suicide attempt was a simple ploy for attention. According to her, I was not actually depressed, but basically (not her words) a whiner in need of constant attention. She is rude, condescending, and the last thing a depressed person needs.
I saw her thrice in a month. After relating only one anecdote about me drinking beer, she insinuated that I was an alcoholic and kept pushing me to attend AA. This was after I related to her horror stories of group therapy. I never got to talk about the things I wanted to, the things that bothered and weighed on me, because she asked so many questions. Methinks her reckless, overconfident and unprofessional.
