Dr. Whang is simply excellent and cared for me as if I was a family member. Her warmth and expertise in her field provided me with comfort and security knowing I was in great hands and she also updated my family members and provided them with all of the information. I was in the hospital after diverticulitis surgery and could not have asked for a better experience. Dr Whang performed a minor office surgery on my daughter that turned into months of recovery, weeks of wound care clinics and another surgery to close the wound properly at another clinic. As a family we would not recommend Dr. Whang as an efficient surgeon.
Simple lipoma removal has turned into a nightmare. I would use extreme caution for anyone considering using Dr. Whang and look elsewhere. I believe Dr. Whang means well but she lacks basic standard of care protocols and I regret my decision to use her as my surgeon.
I thank God for Dr. Susan Whang -- she did not 'rush' me into a possibly unnecessary surgery -- rather she ordered additional testing to rule out other causes for my symptoms. Dr. Whang is completely professional and totally COMPASSIONATE in dealing w/patients. I am grateful for her willingness to listen, provide good medical counsel and follow through in each aspect of needed procedures. I would recommend Dr. Whang to my friends and family without reservation!
She did my robot hernia surgery and I was very impressed. I had laparoscopic hernia on the other side and had it repaired by a different surgeon couple of years ago and I was on pain meds for 2 months. She did my other side and I was on pain meds for 1 night and back to work. Very professional and technically sound. I would go back to her for any other surgery I need in the future.
I would recommend a more seasoned Dr. My experience with her was horrible and lengthy. If you decide to go with her and you have an emergency after your procedure please go to another professional that way you have a second opinion and documentation.
