Dr. Ryan is an empathetic, skilled clinician. I had a LEEP procedure in her office three years ago, and, so far, thanks to Dr. Ryan, my Pap smears have been normal.
I saw Dr. Ryan to hopefully receive treatment for some very debilitating symptoms I was experiencing. When I explained that I see another MD for care (I saw her in the interim to hopefully receive treatment sooner), she glared at me and said “Why are you wasting my time? I saw Dr Ryan once, virtually, for a consult about menopause and related symptoms like weight gain. It was completely useless conversation. She was dismissive, irritated with my questions, and super vague on the latest science. I was not impressed with her knowledge or her empathy. Like, why am I asking a supposed specialist and MD for guidance if she’s going to tell me to decide on medications for myself?
Dr Ryan has been my GYN doctor for several years and has always been very thorough, forthcoming with valuable information, and pleasant.
Very clear she’s terrible at what she does. I fumigated out my own timeframe for ultrasound in my 3rd trimester as I had fibroids. I was advanced maternal age and WAS NOT monitored closely. Found out i had a condition that occurs in 1% of pregnancies. She cements the the stereotype that white doctors do not properly care for ethnic patients, perpetuating disparity.
