I have been playing bridge with the Peace Arch DBC on Tuesdays and Duplicatelite on Wednesdays and Thursday. The groups are great and we have a great time. The game of Bridge is very good to stimulate the mind and wrapped in a wonderful social atmosphere. "A DAY WITHOUT BRIDGE WON'T KILL ME.......BUT WHY TAKE A CHANCE.
New to Vancouver area and looking for a place to play bridge, I discovered the Surrey bridge club playing out of Elgin Hall in South Surrey. A very pleasant surprise - warm and welcoming membership, vintage community hall, lots of free parking, easy access off the freeway and well-organized games. I would recommend this game to all players - novices and experts alike.
My partner and I first joined Duplicate Lite 10 years ago with the purpose of improving our bridge game. Little did we know that we would meet such a great group of people and improve the quality of our game all at the same time. I have enjoyed the privilege of going on many girl's road trip to destinations both here in Canada and the USA for bridge tournaments and having a wonderful time, meeting new people and enjoying the game all at the same time. Absolutely recommend coming out and playing. The players are all welcoming and friendly and , while there is competition, I have found it to be courteous and relaxing. The directors are knowledgeable and move things along at just the right pace. And the coffee and treats (cookies, brownies, etc.) are excellent.
This is an amazing club! The organizers and directors are outstanding. The players are friendly and receptive to new players (both to bridge and to their club). The venue is great with lots of space and parking, with good tables, bidding boxes, playing cards, convention cards, score cards, and comfortable chairs.
