Alyson did a wonderful job coloring my hair! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and got exactly that. I am very happy with the outcome and will be back! The salon atmosphere is also really nice with cool art on the walls, murals, etc. I would definitely recommend to others. Thank you again Alyson!!

Surreal Salon is professional, affordable, and fun. This is hands down the best salon in LA. I’ve been all over this town, the state, really the west coast in general trying to find a stylist that is not only willing to work w/ a mixed girl’s curly hair but also treat it right and not charge me $300+! Kat was totally honest with me & her experience level with my hair type.. we worked together to fix my hair when it was missing patches and falling out from a botched touch up from dark brown to platinum. Comfortable, Artsy, and Friendly Environment. PROS: The atmosphere of this salon is great - very open, stylish, and edgy. The individuals working here appear to hold the same vibes, and everyone appeared grounded and professional. I love the neighborhood, the art on the walls, and the individual stations for hairdressing. But the definite highlight was Maggie. Surreal Salon is staffed with incredibly talented and empathetic people!! Outside of good service, it's important to me to feel welcome and in a nonjudgmental zone, which Surreal is! They saved me from a nasty haircut I gave myself with strategy, teamwork, and a sense of embracing humor! Couldn't have asked for better. And, of course, the cut came out gorgeous!
