On March 5th of 2025, I had a muscular biopsy done by Marcus Alvarez, MD through surgical Alliance on a referral from my neurologist. However, Marcus Alvarez, MD did not do this procedure in a way that would produce any results. According to the biopsy report from the pathology lab at tennova, the sample that he collected was insufficient. Had some lower lumber cysts removed with DR Alvarez after being referred by my primary- first surgery. Amazing bed side manner, answered all of my questions and made sure I was at ease. Hard to find any DR or surgeon nowadays who is willing to take the time and care to answer questions and explain things, thank you for your patience and care! All the nurses were extremely kind. Not sure why one of the reviews says Dr. Alvarez has anger issues. I saw him for a consultation for an inguinal hernia and he verified the issue in about 10 minutes, and scheduled me for surgery. His front office staff are very friendly and helpful. My surgery was the best experience I've ever had at a hospital and went without a hitch. My husband saw Dr.Alvarez about a month ago for a consultation. Both him and his staff were more than friendly. Dr.Alvarez confirmed my husbands issue and immediately scheduled him for surgery. He was in so much pain that Dr.Alvarez squeezed him in his already busy surgery schedule so my husband could have relief sooner. He was to the point, quick, and informative.
