Very dirty rooms didn't clean well a lot of sand in the room and shower has a lot of molds👎

Weeks before our stay, I specifically emailed the hotel to confirm that the room would be clean, as I had read multiple reviews raising concerns about cleanliness. I even called and spoke to reception for confirmation the week before arrival. I was reassured that they had changed cleaning staff and that we would be placed in a newer, renovated room. The view from the apartment was spectacular, but unfortunately that was the highlight from staying in this apartment. This apartment is in need of a major update and was extremely dirty. Missing and cracked and broken tiles, toilet seat broken in half, no smoke detectors, the power point for the refrigerator shorted out and we lost about $50 dollars worth of food. The views and the location are amazing. But it ends there. The apartment was unfortunately very dated and dirty. So much dust everywhere and I was scared to leave my clothes in the wardrobe as it was covered in dirt. I didn’t want my head to touch the headboard as it was filthy. The bathroom needs replacing as it was old and mouldy.
