I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other travelers should know about my experience at SureStay by Best Western in Tehachapi. I stayed here while traveling to visit a loved one at the California Correctional Institution (CCI). After a long drive, I was expecting a clean, safe, and comfortable place to stay. (July 2026 review) BEWARE-AWEFUL DON’T IGNORE OTHER REVIEWS I didn’t see a review for this year so I gave this place a chance. Cheeto finger prints on duvet. No duvet cover -Ants in the bathroom -Dead cockroaches in closet -Closet door falling off track and partially doesn’t slide - none of the counters have been cleaned-obvious food marks visible -remote sticky with food and dirt (no attempt to even quickly wipe it down) - the room is falling apart; base boards head board - even though “all rooms are smoke free” 116 clearly... read more
