Food is incredible. Personally i dont love the green salsa (i like it spicy!) but thats just an opinion. The food and flavors have always been great. But it seems like the employees either dont care, or are not trained well. I had a simple request of swapping the meat for a signature bowl(because pork upsets my stomach)and they just told me no. We love Surchero’s at our hometown, but this location is not nearly at the correct standard. Chicken had a noticeably worse consistency and complete lack of flavor, and the scoop was 2/3rds of the normal size— and I’m being generous with that estimate. The included picture was taken after maybe 2-3 bites were eaten. In addition, the toilet was filthy and covered with urine. Service was okay.
I want so badly to love this place more. The food is delicious. We placed an online order for pickup twice and both times our queso was left out and this most recent time one of our loaded bowls did not have sauce bc they were all out of it. Having worked in the restaurant industry and having access to those phones numbers from online orders I feel like a call was warranted to ask if another sauce was preferred to none. Ordered DoorDash and for about the tenth time or so in a row, they’ve forgotten something. Our chips and queso were left out and because of the ingredients being mixed that’s been mentioned in a few other reviews, my wife got a mouth full of cilantro which she can’t eat. She orders specifically to avoid that. I drove back up to the restaurant roughly 20 minutes after the meal was ordered and delivered to claim the missing chips and queso and I asked the staff if someone checks the orders before they go out.
