Surcheros has a nice, open floor plan and it's well-lit. You order at the counter and take your food to your table. It wasn't busy, but many of the tables needed wiping (you're supposed to bus your own table).The food was okay, but not worth what they're charging, either in quality or quantity. My husband spent $16 on tacos and was still hungry after. We gave it a try, and now we know. Won't be back.
We used to love this place. The food is still good there, but man has the place gone downhill. First, without tip it was almost $50 for a kids taco and two orders of nachos. That is pretty pricey compared to other options in the same category. I wouldn't mind ad much if it were a higher caliber dining experience, but this place was absolutely disgusting. Order online. I came past pick up time so it would be ready. It was not. I couldn't get any acknowledgement by the two employees. They were waiting on a group of men having a conversation with the female employees cussing. I went to the restroom and came back. We have never eaten at a Surcheros before, so trying to evaluate what to order was tough. First bite of crunchy taco with ground beef, I was shocked how delicious it was! The entire time I was eating it, I was trying to see if something specifically was standing out as to why it was so good, but I think it was just a great combination.
